MORNING (open 7am): cooler, fewer crowds, best photography light on the rock face, western views open. AFTERNOON (11am-3pm): brutal heat, crowded, less atmospheric. DUSK (last entry 5pm): quieter, cooler, sunset views from summit stunning — but you must descend before dark.

Optimal: enter at 7am gate opening. Ideal for photographers wanting mist over paddies. Alternative: last entry 5pm for sunset if you're okay with quick descent. Avoid noon absolutely — brutal on the steel staircases.
