Sigiriya queue on a Monday after the long weekend — go now or will the return crowd already blob the stairs

We slept Dambulla. Mirror wall plus the lion. Kid, one water. I do not want a two-hour sun queue for a photo. Park open, I assume. Not inventing a closure.

Go early. Long-weekend return is more Colombo than Sigiriya, but the stairs still blob by late morning. Tickets at the gate. Rock is open. If the kid melts, do the museum and the gardens and skip the top without shame.
