Grandparents may skip the street crush and watch from the room. For a first-timer TV or stream broadcast, is the Sinhala or English commentary feed clearer.

English helps first-timers follow what they are seeing; Sinhala carries local colour. If the hotel TV offers both, start English then switch if the picture is better on the other.

Picture stability matters more than perfect commentary. Test the hotel Wi-Fi this afternoon before you promise them a live night.

They will still hear drums from the street. Pair the broadcast with an open window only if security is fine with it.
