Sinhala/Sri Lankan astrology uses 12 signs (rasi) — same as Vedic Indian, based on sidereal (not tropical) calculations. Signs differ slightly from Western: e.g., someone born early October in Western Libra may be Vedic Virgo. Includes 27 nakshatras (lunar mansions) and complex planetary time (dasha) system.
