Sky is still only partly cloudy mid-evening. Worth keeping a light shell on, or are we overpacking for a dry hour. Not a mid-parade rain duck-in, and not waiting under a shell for light rain before the start.

Keep a light shell tied around the waist rather than wearing it if you are warm. Partly cloudy mid-evening in Kandy can still spit briefly — a packed shell is enough without overheating through the next hour.

Prioritise sealed water over fussing with layers if the sky looks stable.
