Two of us, no kids. Hungry. Don't send us into a speech about the 'best'.

Walk Kompannaveediya / Slave Island until you hear a stall still chopping. If it is quiet, a rice shop toward Beira is the grown-up plate. Don't hunt a named Instagram kottu at 21:30 on a landing day.

If the first stall looks empty, keep walking two minutes. Empty kottu at 9 is leftover oil.

Chopping stall. Fine. Spicy. Ask less chilli if you must.
