Sleep at Negombo fan versus paying AC that runs on 21 Aug — fan at fan or pay AC that actually runs toward canal
21 Aug, two of us, daypacks, no balcony budget. Elder or kids. Desk says the fan is enough. Last night was a melt.

Pay AC if the elder or the kids need it and it actually runs. Kids: pay the AC that runs; pride argues with a fan. Fan is ordinary if you will sleep. I will not invent a 21 Aug power cut. Ask to see the unit, not a brochure.
Try the shorter machine first. Queues are queues, not a shutdown I will invent. If both fail, town toward canal, not a cousin POS.
One pin. Be down before you pretend you also have the second. Water, jumper, turn around. Pride stacks two climbs.
Walk-up is still ordinary. Prepaid is a seat, not a sighting. I will not promise a whale. If the harbour shrugs, sit canal.
Come early or be honest. Arriving at a listed start owns a shoulder view. 6:40 is listed, not a promise the first elephant is on the kerb.
We waited at fan, then walked toward canal. Fine. The first quote was a speech. Kids: pay the AC that runs; pride argues with a fan.
