Tonight we may hold umbrellas and kids. Small backpack or tote so hands stay free.

A small backpack wins; totes steal a hand you will want for an umbrella and a child.

I tried a tote last night and lost a hand the whole stand; tonight the small backpack sits on my front so I can still hold an umbrella.

Keep the pack light: water, poncho, wipes, and a zip for the phone. Leave the souvenir tote in the room.
