Bring: crackers, dried fruit, nuts (if no allergies), bananas, small water bottles per kid. Freezer packs (bring or hotel loans) keep yogurt, cheese, ice cream cool for 4-6 hours. Sri Lankan bakeries (Perera and Sons) at main road stops sell fresh, safe snacks.

Avoid: unwrapped/loose snacks in humidity (spoil fast). Practical: small individual snack packs per kid — controls portion + reduces sharing conflicts. Water constant — dehydrated kids get cranky fast. Refill bottles at any restaurant.
