Do NOT try to capture or kill. (1) LEAVE the room, close door behind. (2) Alert reception/owner IMMEDIATELY. (3) Sri Lankan wildlife services (or local snake-catchers, well-known in every village) capture and relocate. (4) Wait outside until confirmed clear.

Prevention: sleep with mosquito net (deters snakes too), close bathroom drains at night, don't leave shoes on floor overnight (check shake before wearing). Most Sri Lankan snakes non-venomous. Response is calm evacuation, not confrontation.
