Best journaling cafes: T-Lounge (Colombo, quiet with tea), Pedlar's Inn (Galle Fort, courtyard), Cafe Chill (Ella, open air, spectacular views), Salt House (Ahangama, beach and coffee), Poonie's Kitchen (Galle Fort, tranquil). All welcome slow-lingering solo customers.

Beach spots: quiet corners of Mirissa Coconut Tree Hill after sunrise crowd leaves. Temple gardens (Gangaramaya, some Kandy temples) — respectful quiet reflection zones. Some parks (Independence Square early morning) also work. Bring backup pen — humidity kills ballpoints.
