Both work for solo travelers. Solo advantages: personalize schedule, deeper introspection, meet new people (retreats attract solo travelers), less social pressure. Group advantages: cheaper per person, structured community, more festive atmosphere.

Best solo-friendly retreats: Talalla Retreat (south coast, curated program), Barberyn Reef (Ayurveda + yoga, medically supervised), Ulpotha (very solo-friendly, no wifi, deep quiet). Single supplements often waived or discounted for weekly stays.
