Reading a navy sea caution into Sunday morning. For Mirissa, does that mean beach swimming is off, or is it mainly about boats and the open sea while the shore is still ok.

Treat it as a rough-surf caution. Ask lifeguards / your hotel before you commit - some days shore swimming is uncomfortable even when boats still go out.

Amber-style sea advisories are about hazardous seas along the coastal belt. Do not assume the postcard swim is on.

If waves look stacked and locals are only ankle-deep, believe them. Pool day is not defeat.
