Sri Dalada Maligawa: Kandy station after 7 into a city already lining up — tuk or walk with daypacks (at opening)
27 Aug, Sri Dalada Maligawa, at opening. Train lands after listed 6:43. Bags. First timers. Need a local, not a brochure. If the festival continues to 28th Diya/Dahawal, do not pack us like it ends on the kerb tonight.

If you land after 7 the city is already lining up. Tuk to the room, dump bags, then walk. Do not drag suitcases toward Dalada. Agree the fare before you sit. Fairly heavy rain possible west, hills, Galle, Matara — still not a colour code.
We sat two lanes in. One soda was enough. On 'Kandy station after 7 into a city already lining up — tu' — board, not desk.
We did not invent a fee. Desk tried. We walked. Sri Dalada Maligawa was the pin.
Ask two drivers. The first number is a test. On 'Kandy station after 7 into a city already lining up — tu' — board, not desk.
