Test yourself: if you can commit 3-6 hours daily training + discipline of traditional teacher-student relationship, worthwhile. Otherwise: cultural demonstration + basic introductions available.

Related: Sri Lankan traditional stick fighting (kalari-adjacent), traditional archery, sword arts. Historically integrated with Angampora. Modern practice focuses on unarmed + basic weapons more than full historical arsenal.

Also worth: Angampora demonstrations at cultural events (occasional public performances). See the tradition without personal training commitment. Sri Lankan cultural affairs department has occasional performances. Different from actual training but educational.

Physical demands: Angampora combines striking + grappling + weapons + acrobatics + meditation. High fitness required. Not for casual martial artist. Family lineage traditionally taught - foreign students accepted at some schools but requires respectful approach.
