Colombo British-era architecture circuit: (1) Old Parliament Building (1930 - now Presidential Secretariat). (2) National Museum (1877 - Italian palazzo style). (3) Cargills Building (1902 - Victorian department store, still functioning). (4) Grand Oriental Hotel Fort (1875 - working heritage hotel). (5) President's House (1804 originally - Governor's residence). (6) Old General Post Office (Fort). (7) Independence Memorial Hall (Independence Square - 1948 post-independence but British-influenced). (8) Colombo Racecourse (1893). (9) Old Colombo Fort area walking (multiple buildings). (10) Chartered Bank Building. Best guided walk: Colombo City Walks Fort tour covers most of these, USD 25-45.

Also: BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall) is post-independence but architecturally significant. Galle Face Hotel (1864, iconic seaside hotel still operating). Cinnamon Gardens district has colonial-era private mansions - drive-through appreciation. British Council library (Alfred House Gardens) also colonial building.
