Geta bera (Kandyan hourglass drum) makers: (1) Priyantha's Traditional Drum Workshop (Kandy area - master craftsman, visits + custom orders). (2) Kandy Cultural Centre gift shop (workshop-made drums for sale). (3) Some village drum-making families (small villages near Kandy). Traditional making: (1) Jack wood carving for body. (2) Goat skin preparation + drying. (3) Rope tension system installation. (4) Tuning process. Takes weeks per drum. Prices: traditional geta bera USD 150-500+ depending on size + quality + wood. Kids' practice drums USD 40-100.

Booking Priyantha's Workshop visit for tomorrow + potentially commissioning a mid-size geta bera drum. Also doing basic playing lesson. Bringing traditional craft home + skill to practice.

Also: some drum makers demonstrate + teach basic playing techniques + drum construction to interested visitors. Half-day workshop USD 30-80. Great cultural + skill immersion.
