(3) Photos of your own family/country in a small album. (4) Coffee or tea from your region. (5) A small toy for children. Avoid: alcohol (many rural homes don't drink), religious items (assumes belief), fancy electronics (creates awkwardness). Present with both hands + slight bow. Give at end of stay, not arrival (feels less transactional).
Chocolate + notebooks + printed photos noted. Quick follow-up: is it culturally weird to give cash as a gift instead? My family always does that back home.
