Multi-day jeep-based safari (not trekking - most terrain not for walking due to wildlife). Sleep in tented camp. Knuckles Range - trekkable jungle + montane forest + village communities (Meemure, Corbet's Gap). Multi-day walking. Both UNESCO or protected. For 'safari deep in wild jungle': Wasgamuwa. For 'walking multi-day jungle trek': Knuckles. Combine on 5-day trip.
Wasgamuwa tented camp is unforgettable - elephants crossing your campsite at dawn, no other humans for miles. Book with Mahoora Tented Safari Camps or Big Game Camps. Knuckles trek: Meemure to Corbett's Gap 2-day, or full 5-day traverse. Guide required (Forest Department regulation).
