Kandy area kids playgrounds + nature: (1) Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (huge, kids love giant trees + open lawns, USD 3-8 kids entry). (2) Kandy Lake surroundings (walkable paths, feeding fish + monkeys - supervise). (3) Udawattakele Forest Reserve (Kandy's forested hill - short easy trails for kids). (4) Kandy Zoological Gardens (Dehiwala - actually near Colombo but day trip). (5) Some Kandy hotels have kids' gardens (Kings Pavilion, Amaya Hills). Peradeniya is standout - full day easily filled. Fresh air + running space + educational plant exposure.

Doing Peradeniya full day tomorrow + Udawattakele following morning. Perfect combination of formal gardens + wild forest. Kids beyond excited. Also going to try Kandyan dance performance evening for cultural exposure.

Udawattakele Forest Reserve: 30 min walk from Kandy central, small forest reserve, easy trails, wildlife (monkeys, birds, butterflies), views back to city. Half day activity. Bring water + snacks. Kids can spot 20+ bird species easily.

Peradeniya gardens has ancient trees, unique flowers, spice garden section, cactus house, orchid house. Kids love the giant Java fig tree (massive spreading canopy). Bring picnic basket. Cafe available. Rest breaks needed - large gardens.
