Lamprais (from Dutch 'lomprijst' - meat rice packet wrapped and steamed in banana leaf, unique Sri Lankan Burgher cuisine): (1) Perera & Sons (multiple locations - traditional style, homemade, LKR 350-500 per packet). (2) Cargills Food Hall (packaged version). (3) Green Cabin (Wellawatte - Burgher restaurant, sit-down lamprais). (4) The Burgher Institute events (occasional traditional cooking gatherings). (5) Home caterers (order via Instagram - many Burgher families make lamprais to order for special occasions). Perera & Sons is easiest access - fresh, correct recipe, iconic. Grab 2-3 packets for lunch.

Real lamprais has: rice (usually savory), 3-4 meat curries (chicken, beef, prawn 'blachang'), aubergine, 'seeni sambol' (caramelized onion), all wrapped in banana leaf then steamed. Complex, layered, magnificent. One of Sri Lanka's most unique dishes - Dutch Burgher heritage.
