Sri Lanka best senior traveler destinations - 65+ friendly places?

Senior-friendly Sri Lanka circuit (65+): (1) Colombo 2 nights arrival - Cinnamon Grand or Kingsbury (accessible rooms, elevators, near hospitals). (2) Cultural Triangle - stay at Habarana (flat terrain around hotels, easy access), skip climbing Sigiriya, do Pidurangala from base or skip climb entirely, Dambulla caves have some stairs but manageable, Anuradhapura mostly accessible with driver taking you close to each site. Uga Ulagalla is beautifully senior-friendly. (3) Kandy 2 nights - Villa Rosa or Cinnamon Citadel, Temple of Tooth (mostly flat, some stairs), Peradeniya Botanical Gardens (partially wheelchair accessible). (4) Nuwara Eliya 1-2 nights - Grand Hotel or Heritance Tea Factory, colonial ambience, tea tour by car. (5) Beach: Bentota or Passikudah for calm sea + luxury resort infrastructure (Anantara, Amaya). Skip Ella (many stairs, hikes), Adam's Peak, jungle trekking. Chauffeur essential.
Also: many luxury resorts (Anantara, Cape Weligama, Uga Escapes properties) have wheelchair accommodation available on request but need advance notice. Cape Weligama Cliff Villa is single-story with own private pool - excellent for less-mobile guests wanting luxury. Amaya Hills Kandy is single-story spread. Advance notice matters. And Sri Lankan hotel staff are exceptionally attentive to elder guests - they revere elders culturally.
Practical: (1) Hire a chauffeur familiar with senior travel - patient, willing to stop often, helps in/out of car. (2) Book ground-floor or elevator rooms specifically. (3) Bring necessary medications with copies of prescriptions (import limits: 3-month supply). (4) Travel insurance with medical evacuation is essential (not optional) - IMG Global Patriot Platinum or similar. (5) Sri Lankan private hospitals excellent - Nawaloka (Colombo), Asiri Central (Colombo), Lanka Hospitals - all have geriatric and cardiology expertise if needed. (6) Slower pace - build in rest days every 3 days, avoid single day with 3+ hours driving.
