Real treehouse options: Ceylon Tented Safari (Yala buffer zone - luxury treetop tents on stilts, USD 300-500/night), Back of Beyond (Sigiriya, Dehigaha Ela - genuine mud-and-timber treehouses, $200-400/night with all meals), The Wallawwa treehouse suite (Katunayake, near airport - luxury treehouse room), Kalu's Hideaway (Katukurunda). Skip: any resort marketing 'treehouse' that's actually a cottage with a deck. Back of Beyond is the most authentic - genuine ecolodge, off-grid, riverside.
Back of Beyond books directly via website - not on Booking.com. That authenticity indicator matters. Also worth: Malabar Hill (Ella area) has a couple of tree-canopy chalets. Book direct always for the real ones.
