Sri Lanka best waterfall rappelling - which operator?
3 Answers from travellers
Kitulgala is the main waterfall rappelling center. Two established operators: (1) Borderlands Kitulgala - offers waterfall rappelling as part of adventure day, 20-45m descents, safety-first ethos, USD 50-90 per person. (2) Rafters Retreat Kitulgala - similar package, includes rafting + canyoning + rappelling combo. Full-day adventure typically USD 80-120 including lunch. Weather-dependent (heavy rain closes rappels). Wet gear provided. Bring change of clothes.
Borderlands is longest-established, best safety record. Combined 'multi-adventure day' with rafting + canyoning + waterfall rappel = adrenaline overload but memorable. Book 2-3 days ahead. Not for non-swimmers or heights-phobic.
