Punctuality: expected of foreigners (arrive 5 min early). Sri Lankan business culture more relaxed on locals' side — meetings starting 10-20 min late common. Don't take offense. Greetings: firm handshake (with elder, may be slight bow with hands clasped). Business card exchange with both hands, look at card before pocketing.

Small talk first, formal card exchange. Thanks!

Meeting flow: warm chat about family/travel BEFORE business (15-20 min small talk normal). Business discussed carefully. Decisions often need multi-level consultation — don't expect same-day decisions. Follow up written summary next day. Coffee/tea always offered — accept graciously.
