Direct 2026 rates: Wagon R (compact) 70-85 USD per day, Toyota Prius 80-100 USD, KDH van (up to 8 people) 100-130 USD. Includes driver, fuel, his food, accommodation allowance (many hotels provide staff room, or driver stays in nearby guesthouse). Agency markup adds 40-70%. Book direct via Facebook groups 'Sri Lanka Chauffeurs' or recommendations from your hotel.

Pay half at start, half at end. Verify SLTDA license if you want a real chauffeur guide (~10-20% more than just driver). Tip 1500-2500 LKR per day at end of trip on top of daily rate.
