Sri Lanka cricket match tickets - how do foreigners actually buy?
3 Answers from travellers
Sri Lanka Cricket sells tickets via SLC's official portal (tickets.srilankacricket.lk) - opens 2-4 weeks ahead of matches. International matches (vs Australia, India, England etc): tickets go fast, book same-day-of-release. Domestic matches: walk-up ticket possible on day. Prices 500-15000 LKR depending on match/section. Test matches at SSC or Galle Stadium - relaxed, great atmosphere. T20/ODI at R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo) or Pallekele (Kandy) - louder, more energetic. Visiting Galle Stadium during a Test is a bucket-list experience.
Galle Test is special - fort visible from stands, ocean beyond. Combine with Galle Fort stay. IPL / franchise league schedules occasionally include Sri Lanka - check LPL (Lanka Premier League) calendar.
