Apply the ETA online at eta.gov.lk before you fly - it's cheaper (~USD 50 vs $60 VOA), faster on arrival (dedicated queue, 5-10 minutes vs 30-60 for VOA), and some airlines won't let you board without confirmation. Process takes 24-48 hours to approve, sometimes minutes. Print the approval email or save as PDF on phone.

Do the ETA. And use ONLY the official eta.gov.lk URL - dozens of scam sites at the top of Google charge $100+ for the same thing. The real site is government-run, plain UI, PayPal or card accepted.
