Sri Lanka in August for hill country - visibility clear?

August is mid-southwest monsoon - south and west coasts wet, but interestingly the HILL COUNTRY has more variable weather. Nuwara Eliya, Ella can be misty/cloudy but often clear mornings. Horton Plains has cloud-cover challenges (fog by mid-morning). Bogawantalawa and Hatton valleys - cloudy but occasional sun. For hill photography: mornings 5:30-8:30am best window before cloud builds. Later day rain and mist common. Not ideal but not impossible. Book flexibly to allow morning-out-in-clear-weather itinerary.
Adam's Peak season is Dec-May so if hiking that's not the goal in August. Focus: tea plantation visits (indoor + short outdoor walks), café days, cultural triangle visits (drier zone even in Aug). Full hill country immersion in August is compromised.
