Sri Lanka worst month to avoid completely - any dead zone?

No completely dead months - Sri Lanka has 2 monsoons hitting different coasts, so one is always right. Trickiest months:
October - both monsoon transitions, unstable everywhere, most parks flooding.
November - Northeast monsoon peak on east coast (Trinco, Arugam Bay closed), south coast recovering.
May second half - Southwest monsoon setting in, south coast wet, east coast just starting to dry.
If forced to skip one month: October is the worst all-around. If restricted to a monsoon month: pivot to opposite coast. Sri Lanka rewards flexibility.
October reality: heaviest rains, some road washouts, Yala closed, whale watching not started, hill country foggy, cultural sites soggy. It's not impossible but it's the toughest. December through April is the golden window. Book those months if choice.
