Genuinely meaningful. Geoffrey Bawa is Sri Lanka's most famous architect and his buildings define a specific aesthetic (tropical modernism, indoor-outdoor flow, courtyards, subtle luxury). Number 11 is his actual house in Colombo - you're sleeping in a museum. Blue Water is his lifestyle vision at scale. Not just fancy hotels - they're architectural experiences. Worth the premium for design-minded travelers, honeymooners, people who care about aesthetics. Not worth if you'd rather have a bigger pool for the same money.
^ this. Also: Lunuganga (Bawa's estate near Bentota) does day tours for non-guests. If you can't afford to stay overnight, tour Lunuganga to experience his vision. Then stay at a slightly less premium property. Best of both.
