21 Aug, camera bag, phone only, tripod stays packed. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Their work, not a paid show I will invent; watch from the sand, leave space. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.

Ask two locals near Koggala stilt dawn. The first number about stilt pole is a test, not a fee I will invent.

We took the quieter fork toward Ahangama. Fine. No one clapped.

Elder move: plate, shade, then decide. Koggala stilt dawn will still be there. Shade before pride.
