Street dogs asleep in the carriageway at 11.14 - step around or cancel the 11pm walk

Not a pack on the husks after the crowd left. Not dogs-gone-quiet as them owning the lane. Not the kottu-shop follow. Three dogs are actually asleep in the road under our window, on the tarmac, not the pavement. Partner wants the midnight lake walk (other thread). I do not want to step over a sleeping dog at 11.14. Around, or we cancel.

Give them the lane. Do not kick, do not feed, do not film a "cute Perahera dog" at 23:14. Rabies is the old lecture - 8,043 dengue cases this month is a different mosquito; dogs are still not a petting zoo. If you must walk, inland pavement, wide berth. A tuk at 23:14 that swerves a sleeping dog is a 1,749 problem (Wootler today was unattended vehicles, not dogs, but the road is still a road).

Cancel the manufactured midnight walk. The dogs were here first.

We stepped around, one lifted its head, nothing happened. The walk was pointless. No invented clinic fee.
