Street door is locked at 10.50 - ring the bell or WhatsApp and wait
We are on the step. Street door is locked. Host WhatsApped "come, I wait" at 9.40 and went quiet. We are not locked in during cones. We are not the night-porter lock-out from the crush. We are outside at 10.50. Ring the bell and wake the house that already shushed someone, or WhatsApp and stand here.

WhatsApp first, one line: "at the door." Give him two minutes. If the tick sits and the lane is not safe, ring once, not a festival. He already asked another couple to be quiet. A 22:50 doorbell war is how you sleep on the step. 081 22 33 333 only if you are actually stuck and a uniform is the only human.
Do not lean on the bell. Do not film the door. If a neighbour opens, say the house name, not "Perahera tourist."
