21 Aug, two of us, daypacks, no balcony budget. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Small east swell; boards from a shop, not a cousin. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.

Ask two locals near Kallady surf stretch. The first number about stretch is a test, not a fee I will invent.

We took the quieter fork toward Batticaloa. Fine. No one clapped.

Elder move: plate, shade, then decide. Kallady surf stretch will still be there. Shade before pride.

Kids: leave when they melt. Pride turns stretch into a timetable.

Screenshot a meeting pin at Batticaloa because inland data dies. The blob tower is not a plan.
