21 Aug, two of us, daypacks, no balcony budget. Leftover swell from the last few days. Kid already eyeing the shallows. I want a local, not a cocktail.

Stay where you can stand. Small east swell; boards from a shop, not a cousin. Leftover chop is ordinary August sea, not a brochure. No inflatables past the first break. I will not invent an official warning colour.
