Supporting traditional music or dance revival through direct artist support?
I want to support traditional artists directly. Any practical ways to do this?

Attending performances by traditional artists, buying recordings or instruments directly from makers or performers when appropriate, and supporting projects that work to preserve and transmit traditional arts to younger generations all help. Some cultural centers and community projects combine tourism with arts preservation. Being a respectful, engaged audience and showing genuine interest in the traditions (rather than treating them as exotic entertainment) also supports the artists and communities keeping these practices alive. Some projects specifically work on revival and education — supporting those has longer-term impact. Direct support of artists and projects working on transmission to younger generations tends to have the most meaningful impact.
