Small but growing. Colombo: Ministry of Crab (large mud crab sourced from lagoons via traceable local fishermen), Kaema Sutra (uses smaller sustainable species), Tuna & Crab (transparent sourcing). Beach areas: some family restaurants explicitly avoid overfished species.

AVOID: reef fish (grouper, snapper — reef pressure), shark fin (illegal but occasionally offered), large tuna (overfished). CHOOSE: mackerel (small pelagic, sustainable), sardines, mullet, mud crab from lagoons, freshwater tilapia. Ask your restaurant — sustainability-minded ones will proudly answer.
