I want to see traditional tea processing. Are there still factories using older methods?

Most larger factories are quite modernized, but some smaller or heritage estates still demonstrate more traditional steps alongside modern equipment. The rolling and firing processes have changed over time for efficiency, but you can still see withering, rolling, and sorting in many places. Ask specifically for factories that show the full traditional process or have heritage tours. Some smaller operations in more remote areas maintain older methods. The experience varies — some are very educational, others more commercial.

The most interesting tours explain how methods have evolved while still showing the core principles. Purely 'traditional' factories are rare now but some heritage sites preserve the old ways for visitors.
