Temple loudspeaker starts at 5am right outside our hotel — earplugs or ask the desk to move us?

Beautiful hotel, unfortunate position. Temple loudspeaker begins around 5am with chanting and announcements that fill the room. Partner slept through with earplugs. I did not. Wedding fireworks threads are not this — this is daily dawn audio. Do people endure with foam plugs, ask for a courtyard-side room, or quietly change hotels?

Dawn temple audio is part of life near many shrines. Ask the desk for a room facing the courtyard or the far wing — we move guests for this often when space exists. Foam earplugs and a soft white-noise app help if a move is impossible tonight. I will not invent a quiet-room surcharge as gospel. Complaining angrily at the temple helps nobody; a practical room change or plugs usually does. Next booking, check distance from the main loudspeaker if you are a light sleeper.

Foam plugs plus phone white noise. Three mornings survived.

Asked for courtyard side. Desk moved us same afternoon. Worth the ask.

Buying better plugs today and asking about a far-wing room at breakfast.
