Saturday 22 Aug, Galle Face. Mount Lavinia hotel-side beach on a Saturday, plastic and a swell leftover. Pin is the green on a Saturday. Partner wants the photo. I want the feet.

The pole is a pole, not a cocktail. Stay where you can stand. I am not quoting an official warning colour as a 22 Aug gazette. Inflatables past the first break are how you buy a plaster. The bar does not write the sea.

Carrier, water, peel when limp. Ordinary tiredness.

One soda, ten minutes, move. Do not camp a four-top for email. No gazette.

Ask two people. The first story about the green on a Saturday is not a timetable.

We dumped bags first. Dragging hard-shells into a kerb is theatre. Then tea.

Ice out. Tap stays no. The plate that was still turning was enough.

Locals stay where they can stand. Pride argues with a pole and then buys a plaster. Ordinary.

We peeled before the return. The crush after the last drummers is when people get stupid.
