The lake place that shuttered at six - anyone seeing the lights back on at 9.10
The rice-and-curry room on the lake put chairs up and a padlock on at 6 so the procession could use the street. We can see the shutter from here. One bulb just flicked. Is that them opening again or the cleaner. Starving. Not asking where to sit at 8.20. Asking whether this room is a room again.

A bulb is not a menu. Route-front rooms often stay shut until the police tape is actually gone and the staff can get back in. If the shutter is still down, keep walking inland. The places that feed people at 9.15 are the ones that were never on Dalada.
Last night the lake room we wanted opened at something like 9.40 for bottled water and fried rice, not the lunch menu. We did not wait. Two streets back was already serving.
If they do lift the shutter, expect cash, a short menu, and a crowd of the same people who just left the kerb. Sealed water + hot food cooked in front of you. Do not invent a booking.
