Saturday 22 Aug, Kandy, last Kumbal before Randoli. Listed 6:28 PM. We are coming down from Nanu Oya the same afternoon. Pin in mind: the palace-wall shade that is street, not courtyard. Gampola last bus after the cortege, realistic. Street if we can. No municipal ticket I will invent. Water already in the bag.

Seated later beats a maybe now. Do not invent a line close. Agree a tuk drop on Peradeniya Road or Katugastota Road, not on Raja Veediya at table time. The grid is cones and shoulders. Dump bags, bottles in the bag, walk the last bit to the palace-wall shade that is street, not courtyard. Unreserved standing with hard-shells in festival week is how you hate the hop. No named CMB delay we can sit on.

We walked. Fine. The first number at Kandy was a test.

Show the voucher. A desk is a desk. I will not invent a fee beside it. Ordinary.

Street is free. We stood one back. The package was a window onto a wall.

Pride refuses the kinder version and then owns a tantrum in the sun. Named the fare.
