At the opening, is there usually a thin gap between photographer clusters that is still standable without blocking dancers. Not night-mode photo tips and not phone torch etiquette.

Thin gaps between photographer clusters exist, but stay behind the active edge and never step into the dancer lane for a shot. If a marshal waves you back, move immediately.

A low daypack helps you stay compact in a thin gap.
