A heavier burst just came over the lake and we heard a rumble from the room. Third Randoli is still 6:53 PM. Sit this one out, or still run the afternoon errand.

Stay in until the rumble fades; a twenty-minute wait still leaves the whole afternoon and you walk to 6:53 with dry shoes.

We stepped onto the balcony, felt the burst thicken, and came straight back in; the shop can wait twenty minutes and we still have the whole afternoon.

If the errand is only a pharmacy two streets away, go shop-side and duck under verandahs; skip the lake edge until the rumble fades.
