Torn banknote rejected at the national park ticket window — where do I swap it without missing the jeep?

Ticket window at the park refused a slightly torn 5000 LKR note. Jeep is loading in twenty minutes. Do travelers find a nearby shop or bank exchange fast, or does the counter usually accept a card or smaller notes if we reshuffle? No invented ticket tariffs — just how people unstick this.

Ticket windows often refuse badly torn or taped notes. Reshuffle clean smaller notes from your wallet first; ask if card is accepted that day if the board shows it. A shop outside the gate will sometimes swap a torn note if you buy something small and the note is only lightly damaged — banks are slower and may not beat a jeep departure. I will not invent a park ticket price as gospel. Keep a few crisp mid-value notes dedicated to counters and you avoid this scramble next time.

Crisp small-note stash in a separate pouch for tickets. Saved us twice.

Bought water, asked the shop to include the torn note in the change dance. Worked.

Asked if card was OK that morning. It was. Jeep boarded on time.
