During the height of the crisis, the government launched a specific Tourist Fuel Pass system allowing foreigners in rental cars to bypass the local queues. However, because the fuel crisis has completely ended, this pass is largely obsolete now.

You do not need to register for any special priority passes anymore. You simply drive your rental car into any standard fuel station, wait a minute behind the car in front of you, and fill up your tank normally with cash or a card.

If you rent from a reputable agency, they will provide the vehicle with a full tank of petrol and explain that the supply nationwide is completely stable.
