Sri Lanka has old-school barber traditions — hot towel wet shaves with cutthroat razor still common at family barber shops in Colombo Pettah, Kandy Peradeniya Road, and Galle Fort. Cost 300-800 LKR. 20-30 minute experience with pre-shave oil, hot towels, careful razor work, aftershave splash.

Look for older establishments (60+ years operating) — proprietor usually Muslim or Tamil tradition. Ask for 'traditional shave' or 'razor shave'. Skip if you're squeamish about shared razor blades — reputable shops use new blade per client. Excellent post-shave aftershave (rose water, alcohol) traditional.
