Day after Final Kumbal, heading Kandy to Colombo Sunday. We can take the train with reserved seats or a private car. Which is actually less stressful when the town is still shaking off festival weekend.

Train with reserved seats is usually less stressful - no junction surprises, just station timing. Car wins only if you have awkward luggage or multiple drop-offs.

Cars crawl through leftover Sunday habits near town. Once you are on the open stretch it is fine, but the exit is the pain.
