We already booked a tuk for Day Perahera at 2:18. Leave the hotel at noon to sit the curb, or leave later and still make the start.

Leave later. A booked tuk does not need a three-hour curb camp. Rest, eat, walk down about an hour before 2:18. Do not invent that every street to Asgiri is already sealed at noon.

We left after one, still found shade. Friends who sat from noon were cooked before the first pass.

Kids: leave later with water. A noon start on a booked tuk is how someone melts before the drums.
